Early Passion & Professional Growth
 

James’s passion for music began at age seven with his first guitar, eventually evolving into a deep interest in music and video production. Formal studies in these fields during college laid the foundation for his professional career.

At 17, he joined Peach Guitars, now one of the largest guitar retailers in the UK. Initially starting in sales, he quickly transitioned into video production, taking full responsibility for the company’s product videos by early 2016. At that time, the company’s YouTube channel had fewer than 100 subscribers; by late 2018, when he moved on to pursue freelance videography, the channel had grown to approximately 8,000 subscribers. He filmed, edited, and produced all product videos, interviews, and event coverage, helping establish the visual identity and style that contributed to the channel’s success. Freelance Career

​

Since leaving Peach Guitars, James has worked as a Freelance Director of Photography (DOP) and camera operator, collaborating with SGA Video Productions and Social Tree Global. Clients have included Greene King, Trust Ford, Parts Plus, Ipsos, NICE Actimize, WithSecure, Shawbrook Bank, and many more.

Beyond larger projects, he frequently produces smaller solo projects for local businesses and musicians, tailoring services to their unique needs.
